Copy word instance from field

Featured Replies

I'm creating a simple database to process web search terms. I import the web stats and often the same word is repeated in different ways.

Is there anyway I can get some sort of lookup from the searchTerms field that if it finds a value sets it in the searchCategory field.

Here's what I want to happen:

searchTerms | searchCategory

email help > email

email > email

email settings > email

exchange help > email

wifi > wireless

hot spot > wireless

wireless > wireless

Obviously I need to set some match criteria somewhere. (It doesn't matter that sometimes there may be 2 categories in the field, I can do a manual search to divide them later on. 80% are just the one term).

When I've got that working I can do a sort on the searchCategory field to see they breakdown of who searches for specific categories (eg 15% email, 22% wireless etc)

Thanks
