I realize this is a low level problem. I've had this trouble before but it's been so long and I don't remember the fix. I'm importing a tab delimited text file (.txt). When it imports, most (not all) of the fields are importing with quotes. Example ("5/8""" or "13,500").

How do I prevent the addition of the quotes?

Are you sure that the source data file doesn't have quotes, e.g. when you view it in TextEdit?
