We are currently running 20 Apple FM Pro 3.0 licences in a multiuser and relational database environment for the recording of scientific data. We are at the point of upgrading to 25 FM Pro 5.0 licences (Mac and a few NT clients) as well as FM Server 5.0. We also intend purchasing an Apple G4 500MHz server to enhance our collection of over 30 Macs. My question is how does FM5 Server integrate with the Apple G4 server. Could the FM5 Server software run on the G4 server running Appleshare IP? If not, how could the Apple G4 server enhance our FM environment?

FileMaker, Inc. does not recommend running FileMaker Server on a machine running other server applications. Plan on a separate Mac dedicated to running FileMaker Server.
