I believe that value lists support return delimited lists of text.

If you can set up portals which contain graphic and text fields to display the selections you want, you could use these instead setting up a script such that when a portal row is clicked the value desired is entered into a field.

You have posted some questions about Value Lists, to me at least, sound like a veriation of the same problem.

It would make a lot of sense to me to see an example of your file so far, so please attach a copy of what you are creating.
