i want to back up my database called med.fp7 present on desktop to disk e of my computer can we do it pls help needed

The easiest way to do this, is to simply drag your file (folder) on to an external disk (on a Macintosh anyway). I would think you can do this on the Windows machine also. This will automatically copy it to the other disk.

It is always a good idea to backup your work periodically. You never know when something unexpected can cause a loss of work. There are several topics on the forum about this, and some Best Practice White Papers on the subject at a couple of sites.

If you can't find anything on it, let me know and I'll dig for some links. Unless of course someone else beats me to it.

"Save a Copy" might make it easier for you, but personally I think it easier to do this at the Finder level..
