Setting up Server 10

Hi I have used Filemaker for many years but now have to distribute on a server system, I have installed advanced server 10 on a server 2003 system with IIS running but cant seem to get everything configured to run, this is all that is on this server I can get access to eve ...

Can you be a bit more specific? What exactly doesn't work?

At the end of the installation process: did it launch the deployment wizard?

while you're logged into the server as a user, open IE and go to

http://127.0.0.1:16000

which should launch the FMS admin page that will let you launch the admin console. Does that work?

Thanks

Yes I can open console but then I cant access the test website from the test page, I have uploaded a database and configured it to share which it does happily from a standard machine. I think its the config for IIS thats wrong as Im not up to much wrt 2003 thats where I need help

Thanks again

Mike

Yes the fact that the test page doesn't show would indicate that something's wrong with the IIS config.

2 things to do:

- make sure the IIS is running (check the services control panel and make sure that the "web publishing" service is running)

- run the FMS deployment wizard again and make sure to select IIS when it comes to the web publishing part
