I want to customize my database on-line, and FileMaker 5 ready-to-go layouts doesn't seem enough. But developer sounds away too techinical. I can write HTML and a language which is similar to ASP. Is developer something for me?

The developer edition has the same functionality as regular plain vanilla FM5. The primary difference is the binding of the runtime portion with the FM database so it can be distributed as a standalone package.
