Storing Finds in FM9

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

Anyone know any good tricks/techniques in storing find requests (which could be criteria based on related tables), so users can call those foundsets up in the future?

I know FM 10 provides this sort of functionality natively, but anyone knowhow easy it is to script in v9?

Thanks

Jalz

Which do you want to store, the foundset (IDs) or the search criteria?

For search criteria, you'd need to script it. User enters in global fields, and you store their entries in a table, allowing them to name the find.

For found sets, you'd save the IDs in a multikey in a dedicated table.
