Eunmi66 Posted January 3, 2001 Posted January 3, 2001 With the exception of using Passwords, is there any way to disable keyboard shortcuts in a FMP5 runtime solution. I would like to disable Ctrl+E (Delete Record) Ctrl+D (Duplicate a record)and other keyboard shortcuts. Respectfully Eun Mi
Chuck Posted January 3, 2001 Posted January 3, 2001 I believe that the plug-in SecureFM can do this. It's available from http://www.newmillennium.com/ Chuck
DykstrL Posted January 5, 2001 Posted January 5, 2001 If you're distributing FileMaker runtime applications, why wouldn't you want to use passwords? Setup your 'master' password. then setup a second password - it can even be no password - then in the 'available commands' select editonly or none. This will turn off the shortcuts. Then under document preferences, click 'try default password', then leave blank for no password or enter the second password. The the file opens, the user will not see any password open dialog box - and all of the keyboard shortcuts are turned off.
Eunmi66 Posted January 7, 2001 Author Posted January 7, 2001 Thank you Chuck and Thank you Dykstrl. Each of you have offered a approach that I will pursue. Greatfully, Eun Mi
