AndriesV Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 Is there a way/trick to make 2 fields scroll together? The issue concerns a main file and 1 related file (1 on 1 relation). I need to display 2 of the related text fields next to each other in the main file, the difficulty is that the height of the text entries vary(together). I know I can put a vertical scroll bar on text fields but I would like to have the 2 fields scroll together. I may well be looking the wrong way, I'm open for any suggestion.
spragueg Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 Why not make a calculation field to combine the two fields. Then you only have to scroll one.
AndriesV Posted March 12, 2002 Author Posted March 12, 2002 Thanks, I already gave that some thoughts and it's an option. However the 1st field contains text that I would like to align left, the 2nd field contains numbers(not all lines contain a number) that should align right. I know I can make a calculation to always have the same #characters and use a fixed width font but that's not really a nice solution. Sample data: Calculated Field 1 (combination of various tick-boxes and other fields with data) - Sales - Databases - Files Calculated Field 2 (numbers for fields where applicable/filled) - - 5 - 25
