tom droz Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) Thanks in advance for any help I am creating a report that I am having the following a problem with: I have 4 fields (district, type, price range and price) I need a variable that returns the value of: Total price by each district and count Total price by each Type and count Total price by each price range and count What should the script steps be (there are a total of about 40 variables) There must be a way to have this so it is scalable and when done the variables are set to a field in the final report. Any ideas or suggest would be greatly appreciated! Edited January 10, 2010 by Guest
comment Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Are you familiar with the Fast Summaries technique? http://www.kevinfrank.com/demo-files.html
tom droz Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) I was not familiar with the 'fast summary' report but did find it very interesting. It did not resolve my current problem. When I am done i need to be able to place the value for each individual total in a one record, each with its own field. example District1: 200,000 count: 10 District2: 400,000 Count 17 style1: 230,000 count 3 style2: 150,000 Count 2 Pricerange1: 220,000 Count 5 Pricerange2: 310,000 Count 3 Any ideas would be great! Thanks Edited January 10, 2010 by Guest
