Disable right click copy/paste in container/image field

Featured Replies

I'd be most grateful if any of you could tell me of a way to disable the right-click/copy mouse option in Filemaker 6, so as to prevent people from copying the images in the container fields of a layout

Any method that prevents unauthorized copy/paste would be welcome.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I've been checking and couldn't find it.

Regards

[color:blue]Version 6, It has been so long since I developed in v6, one way would be to make the field a button.

Do the people need to have access to the field at all?

Hi, thanks!

Well, no, people should only be able to visualize the images in the container field, without tampering with it. No editing, no deleting... just browsing. But no kiosk mode either...

Ayway, following your suggestion, I converted the container field into a button with the 'Do nothing' as its only function (right click-specify button...). But still I can copy the image in it and paste it elsewhere.

So, any suggestion? I'm sure there should be some way. And probably any simple solution form later versions should also work in old, good v. 6.

BTW, I looked for the acronym HTH... funny, 'hope that helps' but also 'how the hell...'!

Thnks for any help

Spelling! English not my native language!

It needs to do something, like Show Message.
