Newbies Tim Hall Posted January 23, 2010 Newbies Posted January 23, 2010 I searched this forum first, but could not find any posts dealing with this question. Is it possible to use supercontainer to load and play .mov or .mp3 (audio) files? Are there any special instructions or tips for doing this? Thanks.
Smef Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 You can use the .../RawData/... URL instead of /Files/ if your browser supports the media you are trying to play.
maxwellk2 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I have the same question, however, for MP3 files I get different results in Safari 5 (the only browser I tested). http://mysite.com/test.mp3 http://mysite.com:8080/SuperContainer/RawData/test/ With the same file the first URL displays a QuickTime control bar and will play the file, the second URL displays QuickTime logo with a question mark. Does it have anything to do with the specifics of the MP3 file itself? This was a song file dragged out of my iTunes library. Thanks, Max
Smef Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Can you try re-uploading the file to SuperContainer? The quicktime loading and then erroring suggests to me that the file was damaged on upload.
maxwellk2 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Tried it again with a different file but same results. SuperContainer returns the file via RawData differently than the file served directly via Apache.
