My database uses a job Number which is incremented by 1 every time a new record is made.

My boss uses the "Duplicate record " from the Filemaker menu to duplicate a record.

When you duplicate a record it adds the next job number to the duplicate record.

My boss wants to make a duplicate record with no incremented job number.

Any Ideas?
