Database Temp File Location

We have our FM Servers configured with the OS and FMS on C, the database files on E and the backups on F.

Which volume are the temporary files located?

In regard to virus scanning, our software doesn't scan files with a .fp7 format, but are the temp files a .fp7 format or does the virus scanning software need to be set up to not scan another file type?
