Script step provides a pause checkbox on Enter Browse Mode and I am trying to figure out when I might use it (of course manual View > Browse won't allow pause).

When Browse is paused, I can modify data and scroll through records but I CAN'T create a new record, delete a record, sort ... well, you can try it and see what disappears on the records menu (in fact, many of the menus lose several functions). Of course as soon as I hit [enter], I lose the browse pause.

So can anyone explain how it might be used? :wink2:

What a find! FM's Help states "Pause temporarily stops the script so the user can enter data."

It's never occurred to me to Pause a user in Browse Mode during a script.

Thank you for sharing your thought.

Hi lawaid,

I've still been chewing on this and that's why I haven't responded yet ... got sidetracked with all the new things in vs. 11 ... and now return to the implementation of something like pause in Browse mode. I'm looking forward to using it as soon as I can find a practical use that can't be handled without 1) a looping pause in a script, 2) a [resume] on a specify button etc. Any ideas? :idunno:

I want it in my tool kit but what can't be easily accomplished otherwise that I might call upon this script-step? Thank you very much for responding. :laugh2:

If I didn't have 14,000 questions yet-to-be-answered, life would sure be easier (but not nearly as fun)!!
