On a few recent installations on MacMini Server snow leopard 10.6.2 I tried to install SC v2.72 but the installer failed with the message unexpected error. These were new machines, no other processes running besides FMServer 10. The FM webserver was up and running.

Is there anything on this configuration that gives this issue?

Snow Leopard requires a manual installation of SuperContainer. Instructions for a manual installation can be found at:

it may be a good idea to include a snowleopard mention in the docs enclosed with SC, plus a link to your more detailed instructions if you want to keep the standard document light.
