mattc Posted July 17, 2001 Posted July 17, 2001 I have seen this question question asked before in the past. However, I can't find the required info when I search the forum - so here goes: Can you give me instruction on how to remove the 'made with filemaker' banner that appears when exiting a runtime app. I did mange to find a post that detailed calling a VB app upon exit. I would prefer not to do it this way if possible. There was previously talk of editing a 'dll' file to prevent the banner appearing. Does anyone know which file/what to remove & the software required to do it? Thanks in advance - this project has been interesting - I've never been stumped so much before!!!
Newbies haucks Posted July 17, 2001 Newbies Posted July 17, 2001 I am providing this information "AS IS", the only reason I am providing this is that Filemaker is not being very realistic thinking that they have a 'right' to say powered by after the program is done executing, if that is the case I will pay more to NOT have the ad. This theory should work on Mac also, you probably have to do it in RezEdit. 1. Download a resource editor. http://rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehacker 2. edit the fm_usr.dll 3. select the dialog resource type in the tree and expand it. 4. scroll to 8006 and expand it. 5. make the changes you want to 6. save the dll 7. done
