February 26, 201015 yr I have two files that are set up and working. 5 users access via open remote. One file is a container to hold pictures and video's. When I do a right click, insert Quicktime, select video and choose Open- the video file reference is inserted. I can see the video but others can't. I am reading that a quicktime movie can be stored, not just the reference... How? Or, In a situation where people are logging into a FM file remotely - how do we all upload a video to a folder on the computer via an IP address? Help-I can't find an answer! Thanks in advance. February 26, 201015 yr I think you meant to say: QuickTime movies are always stored as a reference. True. What that means is, other users have to reference the file via the same path that you do. You could accomplish that in various ways, one would be to put the files on a network file share so that everyone sees the same path to the files. This does require that the user mount the shared volume/folder in order to see the files. You might try inserting the movies as *files* rather than QuickTime. That way you could store them in the container, not as a reference. You wouldn't be able to preview or play them directly in the container field, but I believe you should be able to double-click the icon in the container to open up the QuickTime movie player. Another option to consider is using the web viewer. Again, the movies would need to be stored in a location accessible by all, but you wouldn't have to worry about network file sharing, since the file would be referencing an IP address or domain. SuperContainer provides some very cool features for managing files this way. Hope that helps.

It works for the host computer but those that log in remotely don't have access to upload. The 'port forwarding' and 'firewall' needs to be set up... Any idea on how to do this?
