I have a solution that I would like to make a stand alone runtime item. My solution involves 4 related databases. Before I buy Developer 5, will it allow more than one database in the "stand alone"?

No problem, I have a runtime that has 8 deatabases but could have more.

IMHO, the FM engine limit is the same -- 50 opened db in one time.

Yes, it will work great. I have a 38 file runtimed Demo Version of my networked software solution running bundled. Only the standard Filemaker 50 file limit applies, I believe.
