Screbinodus Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I am trying to use the sendmail script step while specifying the SMTP server. The mail get sent OK, however the message header isn't formed correctly. The message-id is something like: Message-ID: i.e. without a server or a domain. This means that many (most?) spam-traps block the mail as suspicious -- a malformed header under RFC 2822 guidelines. Here's an example from a Baracuda server: //////////////////////////// X-Barracuda-Spam-Report: Code version 3.2, rules version 3.2.2.24334 Rule breakdown below pts rule name description ---- ---------------------- -------------------------------------------------- 0.01 INVALID_MSGID Message-Id is not valid, according to RFC 2822 //////////////////////////// I've tried running the script on FM10.3 client on a PC running Windows 7 and a Mac running 10.5, with the same results. Our mail server is MS Exchange 2003. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it a fundamental bug in the sendmail script step, or a specific problem when interacting with Exchange? Any help or comments gratefully received! Jon.
