Hello,

I have filemaker 10 server for snow leopard.

I am trying to setup email notifications for a gmail account that will both send and receive the notifications.

Any know how on how to do that?

gmail typically requires SSL or TLS to be enabled in the SMTP settigns. While server-side scripts using Send Mail through SMTP allow for that, the email notifications for errors and warnings from the admin console rely on the SMTP settings in the FMS configuration and those do NOT support SSL or TLS.

FileMaker server 11 fixes that.

Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
