relational database not allowing input of data

Featured Replies

Hi,

This is probably really easy..but..

I have one table USER

STUDENT_ID

FIRST NAME

LAST NAME (ETC)

This is connected to another table ICT via STUDENT_ID

STUDENT_ID

SKILL1

SKILL2

SKILL3

This works fine. So good infact the other teachers want their subject included! No problem I thought. I'll add a new table: ENGLISH

STUDENT_ID

SKILL1

SKILL2

SKILL3

This is also connected to USER via STUDENT_ID.

The problem is:

When trying to input data into ENGLISH it states that I needto create a new record. However this creates a new record and still wont allow me to inout data!

Any ideas please?

Jon
