I have a database I created orginally in FM Pro ver 3.x. I have since converted it to ver 5.0 without any problems. If I purchase FM Pro 5.5 Developer will it upgrade my database to ver 5.5? I believe Developer 5.5 to include within it FM Pro 5.5. Is that the case?

Second, my database is actually about 10 databases all linked together. If I use Developer 5.5 to create standalone runtime applications of these 10 databases, will I have problems with the linking?

I emailed Claris with my question and haven't heard back yet. I wasn't sure where else to go.

You might not want to hold your breath in waiting for a response to your email. "Claris" has been gone for over 4 year.

As to your issue with Developer, it is correct you received a "Developer" eddition of FileMaker Pro with the Developer Tool (The Binder) Once all your databases are up to 5.5, you can create a stand alone runtime. There should be no "Linking" issues.

FMP 5 and FMP 5.5 do not need to be "upgraded" as with 3 to 5.
