OK, I'm a novice so bear with me please.

I'm running FM Pro 6 (fp5 files), I have over 700 customers in my database and my business is booming even in this economy. It's a small business and I do less than $600K in sales per year.

My questions is two fold:

-How much trouble will I have upgrading and moving my data to the newest FM Pro software? Can I do one upgrade or will I have to make intermediate steps?

-Given the type of business I have and the number of customers does it make sense to go to Bento instead of FM?

I am not, nor do I ever see myself being a power user of FM. I just need a database that keeps me on track and growing!

Much depends on how complex your current system is.

You can download the trial FileMaker 11 and simply throw your current databases into it - it will attempt automatic conversion, this will give a clue as to what is required.
