mcyrulik Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Hey guys, We are increasingly running into issues with our customers and their use of supercontainer. The only thing they have in common is that they all use proxy servers. They get the attached error. Is this a simple matter of the customer's IT department allowing that website through their proxy? From the error, it seems like it might be more than that(java.io.IOException). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Valentin Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 SuperContainer currently does not support proxies. Primarily due to lack of testing, if you can give details of proxy setup we'll try to replicate the environment and work on adding that support in the future.
mcyrulik Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 That little nugget of information would have been nice to see in the documentation before we purchased the product. Any chance of adding that little bit of knowledge to the documentation to warn future customers? We spent a lot of time troubleshooting the issue only to find out that it was a drawback of the product itself. Adding the no applet style does help but I am pretty skeptical that it will solve all of our problems.
Newbies seikos1 Posted April 30, 2010 Newbies Posted April 30, 2010 We are having the same problem on the PC and now with Macs using Snow Leopard, When using Tiger or Leopard we do NOT have problems.
