Is a task time tracker possible?

My apologies if this is the wrong forum for this. I did a search of "time tracker" and "timer" without success.

Is it possible to create a (start/stop) task time tracker with FM using the computer's clock? It would be ideal for linking to project budget monitoring and billing.
