Hi there I have a simple question. I have a client data base that I'm reorganizing. Simply.. I have files ( tables? entries? ) that I want to copy to a duplicate filemaker file ( with same title fields exactly ) In excel I could just highlight each entry and copy it over no problems. I have no idea how to do this with Filemaker. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it ! : )

Using Manage database dialog, you can import the tables (only table structure) from client database to duplicate copy.

1. Open the duplicate file

2. File > Manage database >> tables >> 'Import' button

3. Select the fp7 file >> list of tables appears >> mark the table for import

new tables are created in duplicate copy. You will have to set the relationships and then updated the calculations, lookups fields.
