Newbies chad.lawie Posted April 21, 2010 Newbies Posted April 21, 2010 From what I have read, A runtime made on a Mac will not work on a windows pc. Is this true? If so, I need to have a small database that I want to use on a PC that I need to be made inot a runtime. Please let me know if you are willing to lend a hand. Thanks Chad
TheTominator Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 That is true. A runtime built on a Mac will not work on a Windows PC. You need to build a runtime on a Windows PC to have it work on a Windows PC. Note that the database files themselves can move back and forth between the Mac and Windows runtime environments. It is the application and its supporting libraries, not the database files, that are platform-specific. I build my Windows runtimes using a Windows environment on my Mac. In my case I run Windows inside Parallels for Mac.
