Mental Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Hi everyone, I have a database that I publish on IWP. I would like to prevent people from printing the page. Any ideas on how to do this? You can set this in the user priviliges but that doesn't seem to work for IWP. I noticed that some "hidden" fields print on IWP but this is browser dependant. If it was universal I would have put a large hidden field over the existing fields. Not sure what to do but would appreciate the help. Thanks!! Randy
Steven H. Blackwell Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 AFAIK, there is no way to prevent printing what's in a browser window, unless maybe you took the toolbar away. Steven
Mental Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 How do you go about taking the toolbar away? I know how to get rid of filemaker's but is there a way to get rid of the browser's toolbar also?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 HTML can generate a page with no toolbar. I can perhaps test that in the next day or so to see if it pulls the printing out as well. Steven
Steven H. Blackwell Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Removing the tool bar [color:red]does not disable printing. Sorry, that doesn't work. Steven
