Colored Text in Emails

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have had a request that a particular client email that is sent from FileMaker have part of the text be turned red so as to make especially pertinent information stand out to the recipient. However, it seems that FileMaker strips all formatting when it pushes the text to the email program. Is there any way to change or work around this behavior?

Also, just to make sure I'm not missing something obvious, are you able to send more than one attachment per email?

Thanks for your input.

FM only send plain text natively. For formatted (html) text and multiple attachments, you need a plugin:

360 email, Scriptmaster, SMTPIt.

btw: moved your post to the proper forum

Ah, so there is no native solution to these issues. I am hesitant to add more plugins to our solution, but I suppose I'll gauge it against the importance of these features with my boss.

Thanks for the response!

I can vouch for the SMTPit plugin. We use it all of the time to send HTML coded emails for marketing purposes.

It would be hard to justify the cost if the only thing you wanted out of it was to send colored text.
