April 22, 201015 yr Can anyone help? Supercontainer is running on a windows 2003 server (Supercontainer 2.744). No issues with anyone using mac and PC connecting except one user running XP (Java 1.5) keeps getting the following message when Supercontainer tries to connect. Line 7, img is undefined. Comes up with the debugger. If he cancels the debugger, the pdf shows in the web viewer. If he goes to another record the same error shows. Any help much appreciated. Looked through the 360works docs, google search. nothing I can find. Cheers
April 22, 201015 yr I recommend upgrading to the latest version of Java, which is Java 6 Update 20. You may need to uninstall Java 5 before updating to Java 6. This may resolve the issue for you.
May 2, 201015 yr Author Hi, Thanks for the help. Upgrading to the latest Java version has not solved this issue. The user still has the same error message as in my first post. Any other help most welcome. Cheers Peter
May 4, 201015 yr Newbies Hi, Thanks for the help. Upgrading to the latest Java version has not solved this issue. The user still has the same error message as in my first post. Any other help most welcome. Cheers Peter Here we are running in to the same issues
May 4, 201015 yr There may be a problem with your java installation, or you may have multiple versions of java installed and an older one is being defaulted to, rather than the most up to date version. Please completely remove all versions of java installed on the system which is not working properly, and then doing a fresh install of java directly from java.com.
May 10, 201015 yr Author Hi David, thanks for the response. Totally uninstalled java and reinstalled the latest. Still no luck. I am guessing totally reformatting the drive and doing a clean install of XP may fix the problem but of course the user does not want to do this. I know it is an isolated problem. Can we rule out any issues with the latest release of SuperContainer? Are there any logs I could check that are generated? Cheers Peter
May 11, 201015 yr I'm not sure what is causing that issue. It's definitely something on the one machine, as other machines are not having the issue. Reinstalling the OS would probably fix it, as it would reset whatever setting is causing the issue. I just wish we could find out what setting or software is causing this. Do you have any older plugins installed in FileMaker? Do you get these same messages if you go to the same SuperContainer URL in a browser like IE or FireFox?
May 14, 201015 yr Newbies We are having the same issue on 4 of 16 desktops all running FM10 on Windows XP SP3. We have already uninstalled all versions of Java and only reinstalled version 6.20 AND put fresh super container plug ins on all workstations from the latest version. This is very frustrating. Any new ideas? Java_error.bmp
May 14, 201015 yr I have not been able to replicate this issue so far. Would any of you like to do screen sharing with me so that I could see what is happening directly on your systems? Feel free to contact me at any time using the information below.
May 14, 201015 yr Are any of you using any unstored calcs which use plugin functions on your layouts where you have SuperContainer opening in a web viewer?
May 17, 201015 yr I'm having the same problem but only on one machine. Was there any resolution to what is causing this.
May 18, 201015 yr I'm still working on replicating this issue on our test machines. As I mentioned before, it would be helpful if I could do screen sharing with one of you to see the issue. If you are interested in doing this, please email me at [email protected]
May 24, 201015 yr Newbies We are not using the user name/password with supercontainer There are no unstored calcs on the layout where we get the error message. all versions of supercontainer, plug in and java are up to date. only the web viewer layout has issues.
