I seem to be at a loss, it has been years since I have had to do anything major to our FMPro database.

We have a main menu, contact, invoice, and product databse set up.

I can click from contact to make a new invoice, I can type in products and they show up on the invoice -

But here is my issue, I had to add 2 fields to my products, a Rack and Vehicle field, and I am trying to get these fields to show up on the invoice when I type in the product ID.

I defined the fields in the product database, where to go from here I am at a loss - my Products DB is linked to my line items DB, so if I add those fields in my line item DB, I can see them, but I cannot seem to connect them to my invoice DB.

I have not actually had to modify this system since FM6.... So, I am stumped and have searched for close to 24 hours, with nothing to show for it.

I am sure it is something stupid easy, but I'm at my wits end.

Thanks for any help/advice you can offer.

Is the issue that you're looking at your line items in a portal on the invoice layout? Double-check that the new fields are using the same relationship as the existing (working) fields.

What I typically do when adding new fields to a portal is duplicate (option-drag) an existing field, and then change it to the field I want. That way I know I'm using the correct relationship.
