April 29, 201015 yr I had to reinstall FMA9 this morning because after migrating from an old MacBook Pro to a new one FMA9 kept complaining about a missing spelling dictionary. Easy enough. But now this copy of FMA9 will not see my hosted database in the Open Remote dialog. I know the database is still being hosted, another client computer is still connected and accessing data. How do I troubleshoot this? Thank you.
April 29, 201015 yr Author No SSL. I figured a way around it: I trashed the FMA folder on the new Mac, zipped the FMA folder on the old Mac and copied to the new where I unzipped it and things worked flawlessly.
May 12, 201015 yr Newbies I had the same problem and the patch actually fixed it even though I was not using ssl. Spent hours tweaking settings, network settings, installing/uninstalling etc... and finally coughed up 45 bucks to call tech support who offered this fix that should have been much easier to find. The updater doesn't even show up when you select "updates and downloads" telling me my version was current with no updates available.
