Tony59 Posted March 1, 2002 Posted March 1, 2002 I imagine this has been asked a couple of times but couldn't find a clear answer Essentially will FMP Developer Tool 5.0 bind files created under FMP 5.5 complete with 5.5 features to create runtime solutions. Or do I have to get FM Developer 5.5. The reason for asking is I have only had Developer 5.0 for a bit over a year and this is a "hobby' at this stage. Some of the features in FMP 5.5 look appealing.
DykstrL Posted March 1, 2002 Posted March 1, 2002 As long as you don't use the 5.5 script steps or calculation formulas - particularly some of the 5.5 Status functions, the files will work just fine after binding in Developer 5.0. Most 5.5 script steps are just ignored in 5.0, but may give an error message. Unrecognized calculation definitions will generate an error.
Tony59 Posted March 3, 2002 Author Posted March 3, 2002 Thanks very much for that As I suspected if I want 5.5 features for a solution I need 5.5 Developer. I will now have to see how much I really want the 5.5 features Again much appreciation for your reply TTFN Tony
