Interesting that the calculation:

"=" = "≠"

returns

true, not false.

Exact("=";"≠") returns false as you would expect.

It appears that the equals and not-equals symbols are treated as the same by FM.

Not same, but equivalent - just as:

"a" = "A"

and

"A" = "Å"

It's a Unicode thing, not Filemaker.
