Script that creates multiple dataentrys in a jointable?

Hello I'm pretty new to filemaker and creating one of my first scripts, I would really appreciate some guidance. Here is what i want to do:

I have theese two tables, one is called assignments, and the other tasks. Every assignment consists of a bunch of tasks. The tasks are always the same.

There is also a join-table, it consists of three columns, TaskID AssignmentID and completed. The completed column is set to 0 or 1 and states wether the task is completed for the specific assignment.

Here is my problem:

Everytime I create a new assignment, I want to create a new data-entry in the jointable for each task in the task-table.

What should the script look like? I'd really appriciate the help.

I would question if the scripting is needed at all, at least is it likely that the thing can be accomplished via exploiting the options in the RG and the relational approach.

I would say the particular record first should be made when default is altered ... perhaps you would benefit from digesting this thread:
