elipsett Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Actually, I'm not completely sure that the problem is as stated in the subject line, but it sure looks that way. We are running FMP 8.5Adv on a number of platforms (OSX, OS9 and various Windows), connecting to about two dozen files on an OSX (10.4.11) server running FMS9.0.3.325. It has been stable for several years now, with minor ups and downs as we fiddle. In the last week, all of a sudden, a number of files running on the clients have stopped working normally. In particular, a number of fields in particular layouts are marked as requiring values before the layout can be changed. All of a sudden, FMP8.5 clients are insisting that fields on OTHER layouts be completed before the user can leave the current layout. Which is impossible. We haven't made any scripting changes. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to make this problem go away? (Or what is causing it?) I can, of course, unlock those requirements and allow users to switch layouts even without inputting data, but that leaves holes that I'd really like to avoid...
