IT_boy Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I can't get keep windows from blocking SC because it's not a "digitally signed publisher". It works fine on the Macs. When I turned off the IE security settings, it still doesn't seem to to actually display the file (although it doesn't prompt me ).
brosiusad Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 We have a client that has just started reporting these same issues. It seems to happen on Windows 7, with users connecting to SC in an IWP solution. IE refused to install the "add-in" and suggests that users check their security settings. However, turning off the security settings does not seem to fix the problem. They are running SC v. 2.72 Any ideas? Thanks, Artie Brosius Soliant Consulting Inc. www.soliantconsulting.com
Smef Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 This can happen if your windows user does not have Java installed. Installing java should give you the regular java popup, rather than the IE "strange content" popup, and will allow the content to be displayed. As an alternative, you can use the style=noapplet URL parameter to prevent the java applet from being used, which will mean that your users will not need to have java installed, though they will lose the automatic resizing of images and the drag-and-drop functionality of the java applet.
