if i do a runtime in pc will it work on a mac?

Unfortunately not.

You will have to bind the solution on a mac as well as a pc.

The exception is if the Mac user is running Virtual PC software. I have customers who use my PC-bound solution that way without any trouble.

Yeah, the only problem there is telling a MAC person.

Remember also that the printing process changes between mac and pc. So if you make a solution on mac and then close it on pc it may appen that the printing process of your layouts (es. print current record or print all records with a script) may be different.
