kristel Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 Hi there, I have a script exporting some .csv files to a shared location / server. I run this script manually from a local machine. But despite the fact that the directory/folder where these files are exported is read/write, the files have 'read only' permissions and can thus not be 'overwritten' by the other users. How can I ensure that the exported files are being read & write ? Thank you in advance for your help.
IdealData Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I presume the csv files are written with the fmserver/fmsadmin properties. Set up the share location to use "others" with read/write permission.
kristel Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 No, if I export them from my machine and they have my user properties. I already tried to make the destination folder read/write for everyone but that did not solve the problem. New created/exported files are again being read only.
