eqitec Posted July 10, 2000 Posted July 10, 2000 Any insight to the following would be appreciated. I used Dev. 5 to created a run time on my Mac-G3 from a solution that I've moved back and forth between my Win98 and Mac desktops. Last update before creating the RT via the G3 was from the Win98 side. I configured the RT for Wintel compatibility. After burning my solution to a CD using "Toast" on my G3, upon testing it back on my Wintel side, I received an error message saying that the files had been created with an earlier version on Filemaker and could not be read. The strangest thing is that the file extensions burned on the CD say "Filemaker4" not 5, or the same file extension I see on the G-3 after creating the RT or even looking at the CD I created. What's going on? Thanks for any replies.
Newbies gunger1 Posted July 23, 2000 Newbies Posted July 23, 2000 Hi Eqitec Simple. Dev 5 only works with FM 5.0. Classic Filemaker nuisance. First convert the primary and secondary files (if any) to 5.0, then bind on Windows, then bind on Mac, THEN burn the CD. Should work. Good luck. PS. Perhaps you can answer a question for me?
