Daniel Shanahan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I just downloaded ScriptMaster, so I'm very new to this plugin. I installed SM on my local machine and it works fine (/Applications/FileMaker Pro 11 Advance/Extensions). However, I want to create a schedule for a script on a hosted db, so I installed the plugin on a development server, hosted on my local machine (/Library/FileMaker Server/Database Server/Extensions). The server is FMS 10.0.1.64. I stopped the server and restarted, as directed in the ScriptMaster directions. Then, in Configurations/Server plug-in settings I can see the plugin listed. However, in the column "Plug-in Name" is "Not Loaded". In any case, I check the box and pressed the "Save" button. Still reads "Not Loaded". I opened a locally hosted db and am unable to find any functions in the External functions section (I have SMVerion in the Data Viewer, which returns a number when the plugin is installed in /Applications FMP 11...., but shows " I also added the plugin to /Library/FileMaker Server/Web Publishing/wpc/Plugins to see if that would make a difference, but it does not (I don't think I need the plugin here). Can anyone tell me if I am doing something incorrectly? Thanks.
Smef Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Sometimes FileMaker server doesn't load plugin names until the next time the server restarts, even though the plugin is loaded fine and works correctly. As long as the plugin is working for you fine this shouldn't be anything to worry about. Installing plugins on your server like this is for use with server scheduled scripts. You will still need to install the plugin to your FileMaker/Extensions directory in order to use it with FileMaker Pro. The wpc/plugins directory you loaded the plugin into is where you need to put plugins to use them with IWP or CWP.
Daniel Shanahan Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 Thanks, David. This is helpful information.
