I typically double-click my file to open it, and thats fine but I'd like a script button (or at the same time) to open up a second file in a separate window, on a second monitor, in the top left corner, and at a 150% zoom level... is this asking to much?

If the second monitor is to the left and has dimension of 1440 x 900 as in my case, then you open the new window with left set to -1440 and top set to -20.
