Hello there I am new in FileMaker .....

Ok, I just want to do a simple search button with the text box for the user to enter their keywords? result in all data shown below based on the keyword that the user has entered

to put yourself in my situation my application is for HR so I'm seeking the position/job open for a future candidate. So when the User type in the position/job name in my layout I can see the info/data from my position/job.

In the script I try to use my text box to validate the content and do my research in my database .... But my god it's hard to understand it does not work.

Can you just tell me what I should do, what script I should use, how can I join the two controls together, i meen the text box(has the keyword) and button(My trigger to lunch my search).

Have you tried the Quickfind feature, new in FMP 11?
