RLP Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I believe this has been discussed here before. Why does Preview mode always go to the first record when the print driver is set to current record? I have tried to correct this using a script to omit the current record but I'm having trouble returning to the original record. Thanks.
bruceR Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 It's fairly common practice to use a new window and isolate the record in the new window. Get the ID of the current record; open a new window; perform a find for that ID; enter preview mode. Then close the window when you're done and you're exactly where you started.
RLP Posted July 31, 2010 Author Posted July 31, 2010 Thanks Bruce, That works fine but now I have to worry about tuning off the Preview button in the View Menu. I was looking at the menu control from Dacon.
bruceR Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Why do that? You have Filemaker Advanced. Just use custom menus to control the Preview function.
RLP Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 You are right I could do that. I was just exploring my options. I already use their Mailit plugin and was looking at their menu control and tool bars.
