I'm moving my database from a Mac OS X to a Windows XP machine. I'm using FMS 9 and I've got several thousand images stored on this machine use SuperContainer. The new machine will also have a new (dedicated) IP address.

How can I make sure this transfer goes smoothly? I'm concerned that the change will affect filepaths, etc.

The change will not affect the filepath in your SuperContainer URL, though you will need to change the IP address of the machine to match the new one. I would recommend setting the SuperContainer directory permissions to "everyone - read and write" and apply to enclosed items before doing the move to the new machine. Copy the directory to your new machine and adjust either the web.xml or change the default directory in the SuperContainerServer.jar (in stand-alone deployment) to make sure that SuperContainer is pointing to the directory where you moved all of your files to.
