Student web publishing via Filemaker

All I'm looking for is a way to use FileMaker on Macs to enable kids in a Primary School to add their content easily to an intranet site, via a browser, so that what they add becomes available immediately for others browsing or searching the site.

I gather there are various ways to do it:

Custom Web Publishing with CDML and HTML

Web Companion

TCP remote access plugin (?)

XML - hand coding

DreamWeaver Ultradev 4-ODBC connection (am I right in thinking this way won't work?).

Is there a method that strikes a compromise between learning curve, time to develop and efficiency?

Thanks,

John Nichol.

The first choice (Custom Web Publishing with CDML and HTML) is good. I am publishing technical magazine for big international company with the same.

Kids should learn just small bit for HTML formatting like <br> for new line, paragraph and heading tags and that's it.

Hi Anatoli.

I've got the CDML reference database from Filemaker, so I guess that's the best place to start.

I'll give it a go.

Thanks heaps,

John Nichol. smile.gif" border="0
