Can't Edit ODBC filemaker data from windows

I'm trying to write some data from a windows program (specifically FedEx Ship manager) to our FMS11 hosted database via ODBC. The system seems to get data just fine but I cannot write data back. I've also tried using other programs to read/write the data via ODBC and I can see all the data fine on the client computer but cannot write back any data. Any ideas?
