Hi,

We need to extract data from FileMaker version 6 system used by one of our customers. I am completely new to FileMaker, and the customer doesn't have immediate resource to help with this legacy system.

Can someone tell me how to set up a connection to it? where can I get an odbc driver for windows?

We are using SQL Server/Windows platform.

Thanks a lot

You can export record data File>Export into many formats.

Could you please tell me how?

This FileMaker 6 is still a live system on another server. I don't want to interrupt it.

I want to use FileMaker 6 as an external data source, and create a daily ETL process to extract data from FileMaker 6 into SQL server for reporting purpose.

Where are you running into the problem? Is there no Export Records from the File menu?

Oh. Your initial post led me to think that this was a one time conversion.

I'm a bit rusty on FM6's capabilities. It's way old. I'm not sure it has any ODBC or ESS features.

Others may know more. You could search old FMI KB articles.
